Our Story

Funmilayo Destiny Foundation (FDF) was born from a deep passion to serve vulnerable children who face the harsh realities of loss, abandonment, and hardship. Founded by Mrs. Olufunmilayo Adebisi Stella Olaleye, a devoted Christian leader and humanitarian, FDF is built on the belief that every child deserves love, hope, and a safe place to grow.

Since our inception, we have committed ourselves to providing standard residential group care that nurtures the whole child – physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.

Our Mission

To provide safe, compassionate, and faith-based residential care for less privileged children who have experienced trauma due to loss, family breakdown, neglect, or abuse. We strive to create a loving community that empowers children to heal, grow, and reach their full potential.

Our Approach

FDF operates residential group care in cottage-style homes that encourage family-like bonding and support. While we are not a clinical or psychiatric facility, we are dedicated to addressing the emotional and social needs of children with mild adjustment issues in a safe and loving setting.

Leadership

Mrs. Olufunmilayo Adebisi Stella Olaleye, Founder and Chief Executive Worldwide, brings decades of ministry and humanitarian experience to FDF. Ordained as a bishop in 2022, her visionary leadership inspires our work to uplift children and families through faith and service.

Mrs. Olufunmilayo Olaleye is the passionate founder and visionary behind the Funmilayo Destiny Foundation. With a lifelong dedication to serving children and vulnerable communities, she recognized the urgent need for safe, nurturing environments where children can thrive emotionally, spiritually, and academically.

Drawing on her extensive experience in child welfare and community development, Mrs. Olaleye established the foundation to provide holistic care that goes beyond just meeting basic needs. Her faith-driven approach emphasizes compassion, healing, and empowerment, ensuring every child is supported to reach their full potential.
